Hi lover! During my trip to Texas last week, I traveled {for the first time ever} with just a carry-on suitcase. Yep, I did not want to pay the $25 for a check-in luggage so I forced myself to only take whatever I could fit into a carry-on. As a result, I have two very simple packing tips that I found most useful for this trip.
1. UNDERPACK. Oh my, I can not stress this enough. I thought since I was taking only a carry-on, surely I would take only the necessities. There ended up being about 10 clothing pieces, 2 pairs of heels and one hat that I never wore! I also bought some things which made my bag even fuller than what I started with. The night before and morning of my travels, I always semi-panic and end up packing at least five “what-if” items. It is so pointless and I hope to have learned my lesson!
2. Use smaller bags to organize your belongings. In the first photo you can see pink dust bags. I always use these to protect my shoes and keep them from dirtying clothes. I also pack all underwear in a smaller bag, such as a makeup pouch. All toiletries go in separately, using Ziploc bags to prevent any spilling.
Those are two easy tips to help you pack for your next trip. Do you have any great tips for me? I’d love to know!! Thank you for stopping by.

Love these tips! They are super helpful. I have also learned the hard way not to overpack! One packing tip I would have that sometimes helps when you have a large bag and lots of things is to roll your shirts. I’ve noticed that it’s a space saver. Thanks for sharing these!!
