Hi lover! Today’s post is a bit different than my usual ones, but I’ve been watching a ton of movies lately and wanted to share some good ones I’ve found.Just a little background about my taste in movies…the genre I like the most is probably romance, duh! I’m a hopeless romantic so I love a good love story, especially when it’s depicted in a non-cheesy way. I enjoy romantic comedies a lot and movies that strike up emotions. Movies that make you think outside the box are my jam. I like some sci-fi and futuristic movies, or ones that are set in a different type of society. I also like movies that are based on real stories. From time to time, I’ll watch a good action packed or suspenseful movie, and I rarely watch scary movies. That being said, here are some good movies to watch (in no particular order).
- Baby Driver: This one is definitely action packed and kept my attention the entire time. More often than not, I fall asleep during movies lol, so when I can manage to stay awake and watch the entire thing in one sitting, I know it’s a good one. This movie was perfect to watch with my boyfriend because it had the action and suspense that he likes, while also having the romantic twist that I love. I highly recommend you check it out, plus if you’re a fan of Ansel Elgort, you’ll love it!
- Keeping the Faith: I just found out about this movie and it was actually released in 2000. I’m not sure how I never saw this one sooner but I absolutely loved it! I had a ton of good laughs and the romantic storyline was so cute. The main actors (Edward Norton and Ben Stiller) are both heavily involved in their religions and I thought that was cool and different from most movies nowadays.
- Collateral Beauty: This movie was absolutely beautiful and very emotional! I can’t say much without giving it away but I love the way the story was told. There’s a ton of great actors (Will Smith, Edward Norton, Kiera Knightly & more) and the ending was my favorite.
As a bonus: I also saw Home Again and Daddy’s Home, which were good but I wouldn’t necessarily watch again. Both were funny (Daddy’s Home being way funnier) but they weren’t amazing. All of these I watched On Demand so I’m not sure if Netflix or Hulu offers them.
Let me know if you like any of the ones I mentioned or what’s a great movie you’ve seen lately? I’d love to know. Thanks for stopping by lover!
