Pop of Purple Eye Tutorial

Hi lover! Do you ever remember your dreams? I am an extremely vivid dreamer, with hopes of one day becoming a lucid dreamer, where you have full control over your dreams. Some nights the dreams feel so real that it’s hard to forget about it the next day. Last night I dreamt that this influx of people came into my office unexpectedly and claimed they had part ownership of it. I frantically called my boss and she said they were right (why did she not inform me of this?). LOL, I know, so random but I’d love to know about your dreams!

Oh this makeup tutorial has a funny back story. A close family friend of ours now works for Lancôme and she invited me for a makeover event they had last weekend. Although I love doing my own makeup, I thought sure, why not have someone else do it for me. Well, the makeup artist was the sweetest young woman, wearing very beautiful makeup. However the final product on myself was FAR from pretty. I did tell her I loved it because I could not bring myself to tell her how I really felt. But that’s the fun part of makeup, it washes right off! Anyway right after that adventure, I came up with this makeup look.

I primed my eyelids with MAC paint pot in Soft Ochre and Nars Pro Eyeshadow Primer. In the crease I used a mix of Mauve and Taupe from the Lorac Pro Palette (original version). From the inner corner to the center of the lid I applied Pewter (Lorac Pro Palette) with a flat shader brush. For the bright pop of purple I used Caitlin Rose foiled eyeshadow from Makeup Geek and I applied it with my finger. Isn’t the pigmentation amazing?! To darken the very outer corner I lightly applied Deep Purple (Lorac Pro Palette). For eye liner I used Kat Von D’s tattoo liner in the shade Trooper. On my lips I am wearing Misty Rose from Lancôme, which was my favorite product of the makeup done at the event.
