Hi lover! How’s your week been so far? Here in Miami it finally feels like winter… our version of winter of course. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but in my 24 years, I’ve never seen snow! So the coldest I’ve actually experienced is around 37 degrees F. This week it’s been in the 60’s and mid 50’s at night, and I LOVE IT! It’s seriously made me so happy this week.
We all have challenging periods in our lives. The slumps along the road. These are really necessary in order to appreciate the great times. For the last few months, I’ve put a great amount of my energy to find happiness in the smallest, simplest things. To celebrate the most mundane things that bring a smile to my face. It’s helped reshape my mentality. But like anything, it takes constant effort. That’s how something so simple as the change in cooler, breezy weather has made me happy these days.
Aside from that, here are my goals for the year:
- Work out consistently, 2 times a week. The key to this is being more disciplined with myself. I struggle a lot with excuses on why I should sleep in or just eat healthy and skip the workout. But I’m determined to make this my priority this year.
- Read 12 books total, perhaps one a month. I love reading, I just need to make more time for it!
- Save money to afford 3 trips this year. The trip that is most important to me this year is to visit my grandmother in Bogota, Colombia. I hope to spend a few days there to have enough quality time with all my family members. Aside from that, I’d love to travel 2 other times.
- Work in my dream job. I will share more details on this as soon as I can. 😉
