Hi lover! Yesterday started off as a very lazy Sunday but then I kicked myself into gear and cleaned my whole home. During this cleaning spree, I gave my makeup brushes their weekly deep cleaning and that sparked the idea for this post. Every single time I do my makeup, I spot clean my brushes after I’m done. Then about once a week, I deep clean them. Here is what I use:
- Spot Clean: Makeup Forever Instant Brush Cleanser – I buy this at Sephora and it comes in 2 different sizes, a mini/travel size and the regular/full size. I’ve used this product for over a year and I love how practical it is. Once I finish my makeup, I grab a tissue and spritz this onto the brushes and then swirl them until all the product comes off. With just one spray my brushes are clean and dry within about 2 minutes.
- Deep Clean: Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castille Bar Soap – I bought this at Target and they have it in a variety of scents, but I like the lavender one. This soap is great to clean just about anything and makes washing my brushes a breeze. I simply rub the brush/beauty blender into the bar and rinse it until there is no remaining makeup. Once they’re clean I lay the brushes on top of a paper towel for them to fully dry overnight.
How do you like to clean your brushes? I hope this post helped you! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day.

These look great! I use Johnson&Johnson’s baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes. It always leaves them super clean. I want to try the makeup forever cleaner 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
