Hi lover! This past weekend while I was doing my makeup, I placed my z-palette (a palette that holds single eye shadows in their pan) down and it ended up falling off my vanity. Luckily, only one of the shadows crumbled. Thanks to this tutorial, I was able to repair it and it’s back to normal!
The supplies you need are pictured above and all easily found in your home:
-Rubbing alcohol (The alcohol I had was 70%. If it is a higher percentage, that actually works better because it will dry quicker.)
-A tissue
-Knife or spoon
-Some sort of dropper (could be from medicine or old travel sized facial oil, like mine)
-A quarter (not pictured)
-Ziplog bag (optional)
As you see in the second picture, the shadow was all crumbled up (the dark hue makes it harder to tell, sorry!). You want to place the shadow inside a Ziploc bag (or cover with tissue) and use the dull end of your knife to break apart the crumbles and flatten out your shadow.
Carefully take the shadow out of the bag and now add a few drops of alcohol using any sort of dropper you have on hand. You want to add enough drops so that you notice the top layer is moist (I added about 4 drops). This will help re-seal your shadow into place.
Now take a quarter and cover it in a tissue (as shown below). Press it onto your shadow to pack it together as it originally was. After this step, allow your shadow to dry for a few hours or overnight and it will be fully repaired!
I hope this quick tutorial helps for anytime your eye shadow may break! Thank you for stopping by.

Very useful! I usually just throw it out if it breaks, so this is a great solution 🙂
