Hey Lover! Happy Thursday. One of my goals is to become a better chef. I dream of cooking up amazing meals, yet I am very lazy when it comes to cooking. I also feel the need to always use a recipe, if not, I feel it will turn out a fail.
I know, it’s terrible to be so hard on myself! For these reasons, I am determined to blog my journey to becoming a gourmet chef ๐ (see now I have high expectations haha) I hope this will inspire you and give you ideas for easy meals (being that I am starting from scratch, the meals will definitely be easy).
Back to today’s post: Last night Mami asked me with short notice if I could make dinner. All week I had been thinking up this meal so I thought it was the perfect moment to bring it to life. For the first time, I cooked without a recipe! Originally, I wanted to make chicken lettuce wraps. It wasn’t until dinner was served that Mami informed me I was using cabbage.
I seasoned the chicken using only the garlic salt and curry powder and cooked it in the coconut oil (which I love). The chicken took about 12 minutes to be fully cooked and the rest was simple! I chopped up some tomato and topped off my “cabbage wraps” with some shredded cheddar cheese. You can add any other toppings or skip the chicken and make this a veggie wrap! (For added flavor, I did put a little honey mustard).
The sides are mini baked potato wedges with a teeny bit of butter and some more cheese. Oh you will soon find out I am a cheese-aholic. Seriously! ๐
Hope you have an amazing day! All my love,
Jessy
