Love Organizing

Hi lover! Today I wanted to share an organization post but it’s not specific to just one project or one area of the house. Just a few random things that all relate to my love for organizing. 🙂

First is our utility closet, which is one giant mess. The plan is to find a storage shelf unit to organize everything. I will definitely post an updated picture but I wanted to show you that sometimes I live with a mess before it gets better.

I bought these storage boxes at Target and they are great for stacking and fit a lot of things. I want to label them so it’ll be easier to find what we’re looking for.

This turntable is one of my favorites for organizing products. It works great for spices in the kitchen, bath products in your cabinets or as a stand for your everyday makeup. You can find these at Target, Walmart, or Bed Bath & Beyond.

Here is a shot at the bottom of my pantry. This is more of an in progress picture. On the right side where you see the plastic bags, I would like to get a holder for them where they can be all nicely tucked away. I’m not sure yet what else to do to this space but I’m waiting a bit to see what will be most practical for us.

Clear plastic bins are probably my absolute favorite organizers. I love them for pretty much any drawer around the house. This one is a bit deeper so it would be ideal for the kitchen or bathroom. Mine is still empty because I’m looking for a perfect spot for it.

High Waisted Shorts

Hi lover! How was your Memorial Day weekend? Long weekends are always so-much-fun! I went stayed down in Tavanier (Florida Keys) and went jet skiing to the Islamorada Sandbar with my boyfriend and our friends. Both days were super sunny with clear skies and if you’ve never been to the Sandbar it’s basically a tailgate or huge party in the water. There’s people cooking food on mini BBQs, boats with awesome speakers, hundreds of people and lots of alcohol. We had a great time there and also visited a nearby small island that was more laid-back and chill. Throughout the weekend we ate a lot of fresh delicious fish, which I highly recommend you try if you ever visit the Keys.

There’s so much I want to tell you about this outfit but I’ll stick to 3 things. 1) I recently told my mom how I’m loving the fashion trend of shirts or denim with embroidered patches. We found this adorable cropped top with a rose patch and the shirt is made of the softest material ever! 2) These shorts were a DIY of mine! I went to a local thrift store, tried on a few high waisted jeans.. found a pair that fit just right at my waist and thighs, bought them and then cut them into shorts! This is my favorite way to create my own high waisted shorts. Let me know if you want to see how I do the whole process. 3) My sister gave my mom this purse a long time ago.. I must’ve been around 13 years old. Ever since then I’ve loved the purse and waited for the day to borrow it. The day has come and I pretty much can’t stop wearing it!!

Lilly Pulitzer Dress

Outfit: Dress – Lilly Pulitzer / Shoes – Target / Purse – Coach

Hi lover! Miami is hot year round, but yesterday I realized we’ve hit summer when I got into my car and the thermometer read 104!! But really most days the weather is perfect to be outdoors, in the water.

I wore this dress last weekend to a gender reveal party. The dress code called for wearing blue if you thought the couple was having a boy or pink if you thought it’s a girl. Turns out the couple is having a boy. 🙂 Oh and this is my first Lilly Pulitzer clothing item and I’m obsessed. I love the halter neckline and the print, which is actually more vibrant in person. When I took these pictures the sun was setting so we were running out of light and that messed with the color a bit.

I found the dress at a local thrift shop and it cost around $20!! I got so lucky because I tried it on in the store, over my clothes just to make sure it zipped all the way up. I wore it a few months ago when I went to Punta Cana for Valentine’s Day. I’ll include a picture of it here so you can see it in other lighting.

Life Photo Diary

Hi lover! Today I’m bringing back one of my {and maybe yours too} favorite blog series. Here is a recap of what’s been on my iPhone for the past few weeks.

First is a beautiful arrangement my coworker received for Administrative Appreciation Day (aka secretary’s day).

Boyfriend and I watching the sunset while hanging out on the lake. 🙂

Selfie while on the way to a late lunch in Wynwood. We ate at a restaurant called Pride & Joy and the food was delicious!! Their menu is mostly Southern comfort food and everything we ordered disappeared in under 5 minutes lol. I recommend their mac & cheese, burnt angus ends and corn bread.

A little bubbly for some daytime fun…Prosecco is one of my favorite go-to drinks.

2 weeks ago was my sweet Kata’s baby shower. We’ve been friends since high school and she is expecting a baby girl very soon! My mom was invited to the party so it was a great time catching up all together. Kata is such a gorgeous woman on the inside and I tell her so often that she’s the prettiest pregnant gal I’ve seen! In the picture where I’m holding her belly, I felt baby girl kick and my heart skipped!

Here is my messy desk. I can not function this way! I’ve already filed away all the papers and it looks much better now. I’m saving the ‘after’ picture for when I post a full room tour. 🙂

Boyfriend and I all dressed up *insert heart eyes*. He makes the funniest faces all the time, but especially for pictures. 😉

This is a self-love challenge I found on Pinterest and I’m actually starting it today! If you like it, go ahead and try it yourself. It seems like it will be really fun.
