Hi lover! I missed you! I’ve noticed something about myself and it’s that at any given moment, I miss someone. I’m not sure if everyone feels this way, but I guess you can call me a bit of a ‘misser’. I text my best friends all the time that I miss them.. especially after a few days of not seeing them ha!

This is the first clothing item I purchase that’s terracotta. I never disliked the color, I just didn’t feel drawn to it. However, now I’m hooked! If you couldn’t already tell, I have an addiction to dresses. 😉 Also, I’m convinced this is the perfect black hat for summer. It’s made of straw-like, lightweight material that doesn’t make your head all sweaty!

Blush Floral

Hi lover! Miami is in peak summer right now and most days are around 90 F, but it feels more like 105! I’ve been hanging out more by the pool and actually switching up my workout by doing cardio in the water and swimming laps. It feels so refreshing, while also leaving me with a golden tan. 😉

I promise I’m not sponsored by Forever 21 but I would love to be one day lol. I bought this dress a few weeks ago and it cost around $13. It’s so comfortable and I’m kinda obsessed with the style, floral print and blush color. I wore it to brunch with friends and chose to wear flats because we rode the metro rail. Miami metro rail is similar to the subway but instead of being underground, it’s above ground. Not very heels friendly, in my opinion!

Hi lover! How was your 4th of July? Even though we had cloudy weather all weekend, that really didn’t stop us from hanging outdoors. Saturday I spent the day with my family at their pool and on Sunday I went to the beach with a big group of friends. It was such a blast! Since the holiday landed on a Monday, I had a very chill day.

One thing I love about 4th of July is seeing how everyone styles red, white and blue differently. I guess you can call it my inner fashion lover. 😉 This year I opted for a laid back, tank-top and shorts outfit. I spruced up the look with a cute bandana (that I’ve had since I was a little girl) and some fun gladiators.

Life Photo Diary

Hi there lover! Happy long weekend! I’m sure we’re all excited that Monday is 4th of July, so most of us get to have the day off from work. I’m definitely looking forward to hanging out in the pool and going to the beach. 🙂

Here’s a recap of what’s been on my iPhone for the past few weeks. First up is my favorite homemade breakfast. I eat this 1-2 times a week and I looove it!

Beach day with my best friend, Kelci. The day was so beautiful with not a single cloud in the sky. We had a blast!

Blurry car selfie (while at a red light). Currently my new favorite dress. I’ll talk about it more in another post. 😉

I asked my mom to help me do my hair for blog pictures and this is what she set up for me. She’s the best!

Earlier this week I mentioned here that I cleaned my closet. Above is the before picture… *embarrassing*. This is a few days of not cleaning up and once it looks this bad I can’t go long without fixing it. The messiest part were the shoes on the floor and all the shoe boxes in the back, up against the wall.

Ah, my happy place. I organized all my shoes big time and got rid of some I no longer use. The shoe boxes in the back are organized by flats in the white boxes and the middle column. The column to the left are heels that I don’t wear often but they are too beautiful or hold a special memory so I’m not ready to part with them just yet lol. In the beige basket to the right are flip flops and sandals, also organized so I can see them all.

My beautiful sister came over this week and we spent the afternoon watching Sex & the City episodes, talking girl stuff and eating lunch that I cooked. It was a perfect sisters date!

Rice Krispies Treats. I used to eat these all the time as a kid and I try my hardest not to buy any because they don’t last longer than 15 minutes around me lol.

Last weekend I had dinner at a Cuban restaurant with my mom and aunt. I missed my aunt so much. She has such an amazing personality. She lights up any room with her positivity and funny nature. I love them both!

Beauty Haul

Hi lover! Recently I bought a few new makeup and skincare products from Sephora (in store) and Citrine Natural Beauty Bar (their website is here). I’ve tested out most of the products so here are my first impressions on them.

Sephora

Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill face palette: I’ve used one of the blushes from the palette and the pigmentation is amazing. It also blends beautifully! The highlighters are both stunning. I like to mix them together.
Becca Cosmetics liquid highlighter in Champagne Pop: I wasn’t going to even swatch this product until my best friend Syrel asked me about it. I tried it first in store and put it on my cheekbones without any other face makeup. It gave me a very natural looking and healthy glow. I also like applying it as a base and then setting it with the powder highlighters from the face palette.
Tata Harper Repairative Moisturizer: All the products I’ve tried from this brand, I’ve really liked, especially because how well their ingredients are sourced. However, I can’t get over the scent on this moisturizer. It is very floral and I don’t enjoy it much, so because of the expensive price tag ($100), I plan to return it. If I am going to splurge on a skincare item, I want to absolutely love using it.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea concealer (shade- medium): I’ve worn this concealer so many times since I bought it. It has a medium to full, build-able coverage. I use a beauty blender to apply it and it covers perfectly and leaves a natural finish. I’m obsessed!
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara: I was using a sample size of this mascara and loved it so much I decided to buy the full size. When I combine it with the next mascara, it looks like I’m wearing false lashes because of the length and fullness.
Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara: I’ve owned this one before and it remains one of my all time favorite mascaras. I bought the travel size since I was already buying the Bobbi Brown one.
Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick (shade- catnip): In store I tried on about 4 different shades of these liquid lipsticks. After wearing this shade for a night out, I did not like how it wore because it would emphasize every line on my lips. I’m most likely returning this one.
NYX Liquid Suede cream lipstick (shade- soft spoken): I bought this at Target and really like the color. I have not worn it long enough to have an opinion on it just yet.

Citrine Natural Beauty Bar

Jane Iredale Glow Time BB Cream (shade- BB7): I’ve worn this a few times and have liked it so far. At first the shade appears a bit yellow, but once the products settles into the skin, the yellow undertones disappear and it blends nicely. I would not say it is long wearing though.
CV Skinlabs Calming Moisturizer: This is my all time favorite moisturizer! I’ve repurchased it 3 times and I have yet to find one I like better.
Kjaer Weis cream foundation refill (shade- Illusion): I really like this cream foundation and I just needed to go up a shade for it to match my tan. The coverage is medium to full, but I have not tested out the new shade yet. My previous shade was Just Sheer.
