Hi lover! How is your week going? During the summer my office tends to be a lot calmer and it slows down quite a bit, so who doesn’t love that?! Another wonderful perk of the summer time is that traffic is reduced by SO much since schools are on break. My daily commute is way quicker and that makes me such a happy lady!

I wore this to work last week and I love the color combination. I think my favorite clothing item for work is a good fitting pencil skirt. I’ve had this red one from The Limited for about 2-3 years and the material has held up so well that it looks brand new! 🙂

Bronze Eyes + 2 Lip color options

Hi lover! Today I’m sharing a makeup look that is simple for you to recreate and pairs well with many outfits. I wore this makeup all day on Sunday and it wore great throughout the day.

For the eyeshadows you will only need about 3 colors. Place a shimmery bronze shade all over the lid and then in the crease put a deeper brown to define your eyes. The last shade is optional, but to highlight under your eyebrow use a matte cream color. You can go as bold or as thin as you prefer with the eyeliner. Since the eyeshadows were fairly simple, I chose a bold wing eyeliner along my top lashes. On the lips, I am wearing 2 different options although they are very similar. In the first picture, is a red gloss by MAC called Riri Woo and in the last picture, is a strawberry gloss by Anastasia Beverly Hills called Petal. Both glosses are so pigmented that I did not need any liner or lipstick, love them!!

Boho with a Pop

Hi there lovers! I had a pretty low key weekend, relaxing and getting errands done, also got to see one of my best friends and enjoy some wine with her! I did a bit of shopping with my mother at a local boutique and loved the pieces I found there. That is where I bought this off-the-shoulder top (love!) and found these skinny white jeans with a rip at the knee. In none of these pictures you can see the knee rips, but I promise they are there.

I cannot get enough of the off-the-shoulder tops and dresses. I try them on anywhere I go; in this boutique I probably tried on 7 items that were this style, lol! It’s safe to say this is my summer obsession… Along with hats, which are my lifetime obsession. I’ve decided that my favorite style is floppy hats, like the one I’m wearing in these pictures. I am currently trying to find one that is a lighter color, but same wool-like material. Possibly a beige or blush tone, please let me know if you find one.

Warm Toned Summer Makeup

Hi lover! I have to be completely honest with you today. Photographing makeup is no easy task. The colors and details never quite show up as they appear in person. I have been researching ways to improve and it always comes down to lighting (most important) and then equipment. While my photographer (boyfriend) nor I are professionals at this, we are trying our best to improve the shots. With that being said, this makeup look was a bit different in person, but I still wanted to share it with you as inspiration and to tell you about our struggles. 🙂

On the eyes I wanted to keep an overall theme of warm tones. I used a light orange shade in the crease and lightly layered over it a bright coral. For the outer and inner corner I used a chocolate brown to create a halo effect. This was difficult to show in pictures, but I will try to do a video of it for you, so it’s more clear. In the center of the lid I used a lighter, shimmery color to make the eyes pop. I created a wing with gel liner on my top lashes and used a black eyeliner pencil on my water line. Most products used are from Makeup Geek (only sold online) because that is one of my favorite brands. On the lips, I am wearing Crosswires by MAC, which is a cream sheen formula so it appears more as a hint of color.

Love It Again 02

Hey there lover! I wore this outfit to work yesterday and it was raining all afternoon. If we would have waited 5 minutes later to take these pictures, I would’ve been completely rained on! Thankfully I didn’t style my hair because it would have been a total waste too. I often wear my hair in this low-ponytail for work, it is quick and effortless.

This blouse is so pretty and versatile for my work outfits. Here you can see another way I styled it with a skirt and blazer. If any of you watch House of Cards on Netflix, I can’t help but think of Claire Underwood and her many front-tie blouses.
