Hi lover! It’s hard for me to believe we are back to Monday. I had a great time this weekend partying with family and friends. I wore this outfit to my nephew’s 2nd birthday party.

The party was outdoors and the theme was camouflage gear and atv riding. Last week I was on the hunt for a cute camo print t-shirt, but after going to the {wrong} three stores, I didn’t find anything camo. I went to Love Culture, Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe, thinking those are the stores that always carry trendy pieces. However, at Love Culture I ended up really liking this denim romper. It worked out perfect for the party because the weather was very hot and the loose fit allowed for lots of playing with the kids.

Crops & Circles

Hi lover! If you are in Miami you can totally agree that the weather feels like we are in the middle of June. Clothing has to be kept nice and breezy in order to survive the heat! This makes it perfect for flowy skirts and light tank tops.

For a while, I was hesitant to buy or even try-on any crop tops. While shopping around, I found that crop tops are a huge trend and there are many different styles to pick from. I usually prefer a more box-cut and longer hemmed crop. Last month I found this tank-top style and instantly thought it was the perfect to pair with high waisted skirts. This circle skirt is another favorite because it is so comfortable.

I am looking forward to this weekend because of a few family parties and lots of blog work I’ll be doing. I’ll be trying to wake up early, in an effort to become more of a morning person and less of the sleeping-in type. I hope you have a super fun and relaxing weekend!

Hey lover! Today I want to share what I am currently loving not related to the style/beauty/fashion categories. Let’s get to it!

Reading: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. A long time ago I watched a Youtube video of Tanya Burr and she said she was reading this book and raved about how much she loved it. I almost always go for books that I know someone enjoyed, even if they are not one I would typically pick on my own. This book takes place in the late 1800s and I believe it is the first book I have ever read (for pleasure) that is set in the past. I just happen to be more of a future-type girl, but I am halfway through this book and I am extremely captivated by it. Whenever I read it, it totally teleports me to that time and for that I LOVE it.

Watching: Dancing with the Stars!!!!! I watched DWTS for the first time last season because Bethany Mota (Youtuber) and Janel Parrish (Mona from Pretty Little Liars, the TV show) were both participating and I wanted to see how well they did. Both ended up placing in the top 3 finalists, and I ended up falling in love with the show. One of my biggest passions is dancing. I adore dancing! If you haven’t watched the show before, I highly recommend you give it a chance. The season is full of talented stars and I am just so hooked on the show.

Restaurant: Swine in Coral Gables. If you live in the Miami area, I suggest you try this restaurant for their Southern style food. We have been a few times since then and have always loved their food. I am a pasta and cheese addict, so it’s no surprise that I adore mac-and-cheese, haha! Well Swine has my all time favorite mac and for that reason alone, I crave going there as a treat.

Work Wears : Pop of Pants

Hi lover! Happy Tax Day! Haha just kidding, taxes are boring. Today is my nephew’s birthday and he turns 2!! You might not know this about me but I ADORE kids. I always remember wanting a younger sibling… Then around the age of 11, my first unofficial job (more like volunteer hours) was working as a Kindergarten teacher’s assistant for summer school. I felt as though I found my calling in working with the kiddies. I wasn’t drawn to being a teacher, but more being surrounded with the 5 year olds!

Unfortunately I am not surrounded with a bunch of toddlers, but I did wear this to work at my office. I love the mix of blues against the black in this look. I bought these pants at The Limited about 2 years ago. I don’t think that they still have the same ones, but they do have similar styles. I had bought them in orange as well but I gave those away and now I wish I still had them for summer!

Spring Pink Makeup

Hi lover! For most of my life, pink was my faaaavorite color. I had an all pink room with an over flowing amount of Hello Kitty decor. These pictures remind me so much of those years. I love the pink flowers in the background, as well as the pink theme in the makeup. The Hello-Kitty-like bow earrings are like the cherry on top!

For my eye shadow on the lid, I used MAC pigment in the shade rose. I used a mix of warm browns and mauve tones to blend in the crease of the eyes. To define them a bit more, I used Makeup Geek’s gel liner in the shade Immortal, to create a wing. For mascara, I used a combination Too Faced’s Better Than Sex (my favorite!) and Urban Decay’s Perversion (best for holding a curled lash). On the lips, I’m wearing Maybelline matte lipstick, in the shade Ravishing Rose.

I don’t have perfect skin. No where near it, but I really dislike the idea of blurring out or using filters to disguise my imperfections. For this reason, in these pictures you can still see dark spots and texture bumps. I know the feeling of struggling to love your skin, but I can sincerely tell you that even through my breakouts, I really do love my skin. I hope you liked this makeup look! 🙂
