Hi lover! I am sure you can tell why I chose these shoes for my “Love Shoes” series, since they speak for themselves. They match with absolutely everything, almost making them my dream pair! They also have a cushioned fit which adds extra comfort.

I bought this dress when the color-blocking trend was very popular. Although it could have been considered just a trend, I find dresses with this color pattern, the most flattering on my body type. It gives the illusion of your waist being slimmer and I’m always drawn to this fit-and-flare style too.

Hey lover! Lately, if I chose to wear a puffer vest during the daytime, I would instantly remove it since the sun keeps us so warm in Miami. However, the nights have been getting slightly chillier, so last week I was able to wear my new turquoise puffer vest.

I always heard of girls saying they kept warm by just layering a vest on top of a light sweater. I was skeptical at how this sleeveless vest could actually replace a coat, but it’s true (for our not-so-cold winter). This shade of blue is probably my favorite color so I was happy to score this at Kohl’s back in December.

I think the pop of bright colors in this outfit are a clear indicator that I’m ready to bring these babies back into my life! Thank you for stopping by today. 🙂

Ipsy Subscription Glam Bag – January 2015

Hi lover! I hope you all had a great (long) weekend. I was so over-the-moon excited to have the day off for Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Today I wanted to share with you my Ipsy Glam bag for this month. Ipsy is a monthly subscription service where you pay $10 USD each month and receive full size and deluxe size beauty products. They have a variety from makeup, skincare, hair and nail products. This is about my 7th month receiving Ipsy and most months I have really enjoyed it.

1. Pacifica mineral coconut eye shadow in the shade ethereal. It claims to be a lasting eye shadow that is infused with coconut to create a velvety finish. Pacifica is an amazing brand that is very conscious of healthy beauty ingredients. This eye shadow is 100% vegan, cruelty free and formulated without FD & C color, parabens and petroleum.

2. Bellapierrecosmetics shimmer powder in the shade celebration. This was the first product I used from my glam bag! I love how it is a loose, pigmented shadow. In the photo above you cannot see the color, but it resembles a burnt orange/gold shade. It is made from 100% mineral powder and can be used as a highlighter as well.

3. Probelle nail lacquer in the shade into the blue. After having my Ipsy subscription for months, this is my first nail polish and I am excited to finally receive one! This polish is free of DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde.

4. Eco-beauty by La Fresh Group – good day day moisturizer. I found this product really intriguing for its’ eco-friendly packaging. It seems perfect for on the go and although I haven’t tried it out yet, I am happy to know it is does not contain the following: parabens, sulfates, triclosan, dyes, PEGs, artificial fragrances and animal byproducts.

5. Elizabeth Mott – All over shadow brush. I am a big, big fan of makeup brushes. I love trying out new ones, and this one is made of synthetic bristles and the pink color is a bonus in my opinion!

Hey lover! So lately Miami winter has been an overload of humidity and little to no cool weather. However this is not as a complaint, since I know there are plenty of people really dreading their freezing temperatures. Instead it is just an explanation as to why I am wearing shorts in the winter time, ha!

I find these shorts perfect for fall and winter with their dark forest green color and the wool-like texture. They are comfy enough to be dressed down with different accessories and the lace trim adds a delicate touch to dress them up. I personally don’t like wearing very tight shorts with heels for a night out, so the relaxed fit of these make for my ideal night out attire.

If you are living anywhere near cold temperatures, I highly suggest you plan a vacation to Miami! You will love it here ;). Have a fabulous day lover!

Golden Smokey Eye – Eye tutorial

Hey lover! Over the weekend I was lucky enough to play with the perfect canvas on my best friend. Today I’ll share with you how to achieve this golden smokey eye.

I began by prepping her eye lid with MAC Cosmetics paint pot in Soft Ochre, followed by NARS eyeshadow primer. For the crease I used a blending brush to apply Makeup Geek’s peach smoothie and creme brûlée. Starting at the inner lid, I used Makeup Geek’s gold digger and then I wet my shader brush to get a more intense pigment. For the outer corner, I used Makeup Geek’s frappe and Lorac Pro’s sable, to add dimension and smoke out the colors. To better blend the outer corner into the crease, I used Makeup Geek’s chickadee. To line the eye I applied Kat Von D’s tattoo ink liner in Trooper. The lashes are all natural (she is so blessed!) and she just applied a few coats of Benefit’s They’re Real mascara.

For me there is nothing funner, more relaxing, and creatively inspiring than being able to do makeup. Special thanks to my beautiful soul sister and thank you to all of you reading this!
