Quick Fix : Purse Organization

Happy Friday loveys! Today I’m showing you a quick organization fix and from what you can see above, my purse was a full blown disaster! Throughout the week my purse tends to fill up quickly with receipts, hair ties, lipsticks and other random stuff. Once a week I like to thoroughly clean it out and resume back to a clean slate.

Above are all the contents of my messy purse. I put away all the extra stuff that I don’t need to keep with me- 4 lip glosses included.

Ah yes, the final product. 🙂 I love being able to find everything very easily in my purse. I prefer keeping any makeup products in its’ own pouch (striped bag) and extra toiletries in a separate small bag. I wasn’t always organized, nor does my purse look like this everyday. However, it always feels nice to make an effort!

Blue Overdose

Hey lovey! I wore this outfit to work yesterday and a funny fact is I have posted blue outfits all week. I just realized it today and it’s true, my style is having a bit of a blue overdose. 😉

Whenever I’m extra sleepy in the morning and not motivated to mix colors or prints, I go back to a monochromatic look. Today’s shade of minty turquoise is my favorite color, so it was simple enough to match two pieces together. The shoes add the girly-est touch and they have such a vintage feel (love them!).

Today I am actually working with Bobby in my office and since this is a first, I am so excited! The first time I had a class with him in college, I felt all sorts of giddy. I wish you all an amazing day!

The Mules Are Back

Hi lover! The mules trend is back! There are certain hot pink shoes that entice me at first glance. These are the perfect example. I love the color contrast they give against the light wash denim and cobalt top.

I really wanted to share this outfit with you because I have posted a similar one here before. However, pairing this top with denim of a different wash, totally changed the look for me!

I wore this outfit to date night with Bob over the weekend. We had one of our all time favorite dinners. It was nothing fancy, pizza & dessert, and felt like the funnest adventure for us.

Books I Love : The 5 Love Languages

The 5 Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman

Hi lover! I was recommended this book by a friend about 2 years ago. Today this is still my favorite book I’ve ever read. I majored in Psychology and originally wanted to become a Marriage/Relationships counselor. When I discovered that this book was written by a Marriage & Family Counselor, I was instantly drawn to it. The way love and relationships work has always interested me tremendously. It’s so intriguing how relationships function differently for everyone and that is because we all speak and require different “love languages”.

The book is educational for anyone. You do not need to be in a relationship to read this because you can apply what you learn to any aspect of your life. Before helping me with my relationships, this book showed me more qualities about myself that I never knew. At the time that I read it, I was also 2 & half years into my relationship with my boyfriend and it helped us so much. I had questions that I never knew who to ask. As soon as I was finished with the book, I began raving about it to everyone I knew, including my boyfriend. I am so lucky that he was open minded enough to read it and that is where our relationship began to improve tremendously. Bobby is an excellent writer and you can read his perspective of the book here.

At the very essence of our being, we all pursue love and happiness. It is what motivates most of our dreams and aspirations. Personally this book helped me learn valuable information on how to love better and exactly what I need. When a person lacks the type of love they need, you will see the negative effects it has on their life. As a person who studied Psychology, I am constantly observing others to try and figure out where their actions stem from. Once a person gives you the insight to what makes them feel loved, it is the basis of how you can positively influence them.

I really suggest you pick up this light read, even if you are not typically interested in “self-help” books. I can guarantee you will enjoy at least the first hand accounts that Dr. Chapman describes. Have a great day my loves!

Monday Turquoise Blues

Happy Monday lovey! This outfit is the epitome of my summer relaxed style. The slit of this maxi skirt is actually both functional and style. By having a slit, it helps cool down the summer heat. Wearing overall loose fitting fabrics, create the perfect comfortable, effortless look that I gravitate towards in the summer months.

I loved accessorizing this outfit with a glam headband for a feminine touch. I would wear this outfit to a barbeque, girls night out, date night dinner with my boyfriend, or a happy hour on the weekend. I also chose to wear minimal makeup, focusing on glowing cheeks, some mascara, and strawberry colored lips.
