Beauty Products – Would I Buy Again?

Hi lover! Today’s post is a round up of beauty products that I’ve used and I want to share with you whether or not I would repurchase them. I’ve split them up into categories so here we go:

CLEANSERS

Bioderma Make-up Removing Micelle Solution {Sensitive Skin}: I absolutely love this product. I’ve repurchased it throughout the past 3 years. I don’t find it easily in stores here in Florida, so usually I buy a large size when I travel to Colombia or I purchase it online. I use it with a cotton round and it removes my makeup so easily! I love buying this version with a pump. Fragrance free

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Scrub: I love this scrub and would definitely buy it again. It has a gritty-like texture and feels like it gently exfoliates your skin. The scent is a very minimal citrus. Free of artificial colors, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl

GlamGlow Thirstycleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser (mud to foam): This cleanser is new to me but I’ve used it everyday since buying it and I’m enjoying it so much. I was surprised to find this at TJ Maxx for about $7 and it seems to be the travel sized version of the cleanser. Last year, I bought the mask version of this cleanser and I loved it for when my skin was dry. After I wash my face with this product, my skin is silky soft. This cleanser doesn’t have the best ingredients, so I would only repurchase if I’m on a tight budget…it happens.

MOISTURIZERS (my favorite from left to right)

Nourish Organic Ultra-Hydrating Face Cream (argan +pomegranate): I really love this moisturizer and I would buy it again! I purchased it at Whole Foods and it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated. Thankfully it’s never made my skin irritated or flushed, which tends to happen to me easily. USDA Organic

By Nature Replenishing Night Creme: I really enjoyed this night cream because it hydrated my skin super well. I bought this at TJ Maxx, so I’m not sure how easily I’ll be able to repurchase it, but I do recommend it. Pacifica Berry Matcha Face Lotion: I like a lot of products by this brand and while I did enjoy this lotion, I wouldn’t repurchase it. This one would leave my skin flushed after I applied it and that’s probably because of a synthetic fragrance or ingredient. It had a light rose scent and absorbed quickly into my skin, yet it didn’t make me feel very hydrated. Cruelty free

Alba Botanica Hawaiian Oil Free Moisturizer: This was my least favorite of the moisturizers and I wouldn’t buy it again. I really like the products from this brand but I don’t feel that this moisturizer did anything for my skin. It was probably not the right fit for my skin type and I also prefer products that have a pump so I don’t have to dig into the jar. Paraben, Phthalates and Cruelty free

Andalou Naturals Argan Stem Cells Hair Spray: Moving onto hair… I only have one product and it’s this one. I won’t buy this again because it simply does not hold my hair at all. Maybe for people with thinner hair, this could work.

Hempz Body Moisturizer in the scent Vanilla Plum: Although this bottle looks almost full, it is my second time buying it and I love it! It makes my skin feel super hydrated and it is made with 100% pure hemp seed oil. The ingredients are not the most clean, but for $11, I would recommend this one. Paraben, gluten, THC free

Soothing Touch Lip Balm in Coconut Lime: This is my first time trying this lip balm and I’ll definitely buy it again. It’s a bigger size than your standard lip balm and it’s made with mostly organic ingredients. The scent is mellow and I love anything with coconut.

Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara: I truly believe that mascaras work differently for everyone, depending on your lashes. My best friend really liked this one, while it did nothing special for me. I won’t be buying this one again.

L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise: Again, this mascara was raved about online by many beauty influencers. I do like this better than other drugstore mascaras, but I don’t like that it dried out pretty fast. I’m undecided if I would repurchase… maybe I would buy it if I needed one and could only shop from the drugstore. Either way, it could work really well for you!

Hi lover! I’m back with an outfit post! Shooting this with my mom, at our usual spot, was so heart warming to me. I had forgotten how windy this location is and that right before sundown it’s almost a battle between my hair and the wind lol. Besides that, I really missed shooting outfits for the blog and I’m eager to bring them back!

I recently showed you this golden, sparkly top in my last haul, and I want to mention that for me, it’s a bit overpriced ($25). The material isn’t the most flattering but I like how stretchy it is and it’s perfect for a night out. These jeans I’ve had for years and I completely recommend them! They haven’t faded or lost their shape even one bit. Also, please check out my beautiful bracelets! They were custom made by my mom, for our Pra Você shop. They are really affordable and are made with love using unique beads. Comfy Clothing Haul

Hi lover! Recently I went on a shopping spree for some new clothes 🙂 and I want to share them with you today. I only went to two stores: H&M and TJ Maxx, but I found some super cute pieces. I had a gift card and additionally I was able to get 15% off from H&M by donating a bag of old clothes. In case you didn’t know, H&M will give you a 15% discount (that you can use the same day) in exchange for old clothes that you donate. It’s part of their sustainability program and their efforts to promote recycling. I love that they do this and I try to take advantage of the discount every time I shop there. Now let’s get into the haul!

Books I Love: Embraced by the Light by Betty J. Eadie

Hi lover! I haven’t done a book review on the blog in a long time, but whenever I come across a book that feels life changing… I have to share it with you! Earlier this year I read “Embraced by the Light” by Betty J. Eadie. While I was reading it, I told all my family members and closest friends about it, because I loved it so much. Even if you’re not a big reader, this book is only 147 pages, which makes it a super easy and light read.

The book is written based off the author’s own personal experience. To summarize it, she becomes very ill and slips into a state where she nearly faces death. While in that state she gets to experience a few truly magical encounters. Miraculously she heals and when she returns to her conscious state, she is able to remember a very big portion of those encounters. Everyone will read this book and have their own skeptical opinion but I was completely blown away.

After reading this book, my fear of death is completely gone. I still fear loosing my most loved ones, because I can’t imagine life without them. But I feel certain that we each have a purpose here on Earth and our souls had the ability to choose that purpose before we were even born. The book left me with so many good feels that I don’t want to say too much because I want you to have your own unbiased opinion of the book. The author does an incredible job at describing in detail the power of energy and how much beauty surrounds us.

26th Birthday Recap

Hi lover! It’s officially been 2 months since my 26th Birthday… and holy moly does time fly. I still wanted to share with you a recap of all the festivities.. so here we go because there’s a lot of pictures! 🙂

My birthday landed on a Tuesday (not my favorite weekday lol) so all the celebrations were the weekend before. I’ve made a little tradition where every year I go shopping for a few new outfits or dresses and this year my mom went to help me pick them out. I always love shopping with her because together we make better decisions!

Saturday night we had friends come over to our house for some pre-party drinks. From there we went dancing at Baru in Brickell. They play 95% Latin music (which is my all time favorite) so I had the best time ever dancing my heart out. I did not get nearly enough pictures of the night, but here are a few.

Sunday we had a family brunch at one of my favorite restaurants, Barley. I totally recommend you check out their brunch menu and try their bottomless sangria *yum*. My tummy and heart felt so, so happy.

It’s our very own tradition, that on the eve of my birthday, my best friend Kelci cooks an amazing birthday dinner and I get to open presents from her and her husband.

My mom sent me this throwback to my first birthday party, back in 1992! 🙂

On my birthday, my bosses got me a very tasty, decadent chocolate cake and sang for me. I was so happy to celebrate with them and their son. Oh and if you look closely, their adorable pup is behind us singing too. 🙂

After work, we headed to my parent’s house, where my sweet mom decorated the house for me!!

My sister found my dream cake and had it custom made. It was soooo beautiful that I almost didn’t want to eat it, but I’m glad I have these pictures forever.

Opening presents is one of my favorite things to do, lol! I swear I get so overjoyed and squeal at even the smallest of things, like a cheese grater. 😉

The night ended with my boyfriend cooking a DELICIOUS dinner and it was probably my favorite meal…. Fish, mac & cheese and avocado cesar salad. I am obsessed with his cooking and I definitely fell in love with him for it lol.

I am so grateful for everyone who celebrated with me and each special moment. I can hardly believe this was 2 months ago but I can already tell 26 is going to be one of my best years yet. Thanks for stopping by friends! Hope you have a magical day 🙂
