Happy Friday lover!! I am a huge, hugeĀ make-up loving girl, and I think eye shadows are my weakness. Maybe it’s because I love the endless possibilities you have to get creative with your shadows or maybe it’s the fact that there are so many colors! I am specifically a fan of eye shadow palettes because I find that individual shadows can cause more clutter and are harder to reach for.
In the first picture above are all my MAC eye shadows which I wanted to de-pot. When you de-pot your shadows it means to take the actual pan (which holds the product) out of its’ original packaging. Now to see a full tutorial on how to do this, you can easily search on YouTube and a bunch of videos will appear. I did this and only watched 2 videos, but both used the same technique. In the videos they made this process look very simple, but let me warn you, it is far from simple!
You will need: wax paper, any hair straightening iron, a knife, an empty magnetic palette, and sticky labels (this is optional). As you see in the last photo above, you need to heat up your shadow only for a few seconds in order for the pan to pop out easier. There is little room to poke your knife, which unfortunately caused me to totally ruin my Carbon (black) eye shadow. Lesson learned!
I am really happy with the finished project because now it will be a lot easier to use my shadows! Please let me know if you have any tricks to de-pot your shadows in an easier way. I hope you all have an amazing weekend š
All my love,
Jessy
