Hi lover! There are two exciting points for me in this post:

First, this might be my favorite spring outfit! My mom actually gifted me both the blouse and skirt 🙂 she knows my style extremely well! The shirt was a find from the Loft Outlet and its’ floral print is a spring and summer essential.

Secondly, the last two photos in this post were edited by Bobby. He did an amazing job and I love the black and white with a pop of pink!! The second one is focused on my arm candy for the day, which I am also loving the bow bangle I found on sale at the Kate Spade Outlet.

In the photos I wore two different pairs of shoes. Since I used this look for my office job, the first pair of heels were nude pumps from Target. The second pair are Steve Madden nude wedges. I wanted to photograph the outfit with wedges because I think that would be perfect for a brunch, bridal/baby shower, or really any day time event.

Makeup Brush Cleaners

Happy Friday lover! About a year ago, I learned the importance of washing my makeup brushes. If you do some research, there are endless amounts of products, household items, and ways to wash your brushes. Today I want to share with you how I do it and whichever way you choose to do it, the important part is that you wash them!

Spot Cleaning: For spot cleaning, I use the first product (pictured above) called Makeup Forever – Instant Brush Cleaner. As it reads in the title, spot cleaning is a quick cleanse, done after each time that your brushes are used. Sure this sounds tedious, but keep in mind it is very easy for your brushes to build up bacteria and the only way to prevent that, is by washing them. Makeup artists also have to spot clean between clients for sanitary purposes. So far, this Makeup Forever cleanser is my absolute favorite! You spray the brush 1-2 times, swirl it around in a tissue or paper towel and your brushes instantly look super clean. I definitely recommend this for your spot cleaning to be quick and easy.

Deep Cleaning: Deep cleaning is a full ‘bath’ done to your brushes. Depending on how often you use the brushes, will be the need for the deep cleaning. I wash my brushes this way maybe every other week, mostly because it requires a lot more time. For deep cleaning there really are hundreds of different ways and products to use. I will typically use my Johnson’s baby shampoo (which is why it’s almost empty) or the Purity face wash. Thanks to my friend, Amanda, I realized that this facial cleanser was causing me to break out, so now I only use it for my brushes. Both products leave my brushes clean and always remember to let your brushes dry over night since all the water has to be fully dried before your next use.

Hi lover! Here is another very casual look to inspire your spring and summer wardrobe. Miami weather is already very hot and only going to be hotter in the summer! This will be the perfect look for errands, park play, or maybe a lunch date.

Love Organizing – Bathroom Part 2

Hi lover! Welcome back to a little tour of how I organize my bathroom. For the drawers and cabinets I decided not to buy any fancy dividers just yet, and instead purge all the unnecessary items. I am warning you, the “before” pictures are messy! I organized my under-the-sink cabinet here, and next to that are two pull out drawers (next two pictures).

The next cabinet is right on top of the sink, therefore it is the space I use the most!

“After” Pictures:

I began my organizing project by throwing away any products that were expired. Then to give myself a clean slate, I removed everything from each space. I wanted to organize by grouping like items together and making it easier for me to use everything. The two drawers under my sink I organized as follows:

The top drawer (next picture) holds my toothpaste, floss, and makeup wipes (top 3 items used daily) and toward the back I have medicated creams, Clarisonic charger, contacts cases and a few other items.

The bottom drawer doesn’t look very organized but it is home to any new creams I have as overstock or any medicinal products.

The biggest change for me was organizing the cabinet above my sink. I am so happy with the way this space turned out! Here is how I organized it: (From left to right)

-Top row: Medicated products, band-aids, topical ointments // Body splash, perfumes, and room sprays // Nail polish remover with handy cotton balls right next to it and a teeth whitening gel.

-Middle row: Foot & hand lotions, spot treatments and facial masks // Clarisonic, day & night moisturizers, face sunscreen (This way I don’t forget to use SPF everyday!) // All eye products: contacts and eye creams.

-Bottom row: Tiny corner for my boyfriend’s products // Facial cleansers, liquid make-up remover, and toners // Eye make-up remover, tooth brush, and lip scrub.

The cabinet above my toilet now has all my sun protecting, tanning, and after sun products. The jumbo cosmetics bag holds a ton of mini samples. The two boxed products fit most comfortably in this cabinet. In order to maximize my space, I kept a clear acrylic shelf towards the right so the products in the back do not get forgotten!

Hi lover! Today’s outfit can be styled for several types of events. This could work perfect for a cocktail party, date night, office party, or as I wore it, to my job that has an all-black dress code. For work, I did switch to more comfortable shoes.

I mentioned before how Target sale racks are full of great treasures, however Target is not the only store with this power. One day I was doing last minute shopping and needed to find a black skirt. I walked into Ann Taylor Loft and found today’s skirt on the sale rack for $8! It was such a fabulous deal and I love how the sequence gives it a glistening effect.
