Hey lover! I wore this outfit to work last week but I would totally wear this to a party as well. I love the high, peter-pan style neckline, paired with the very unique pants. I was really drawn to the pants’ design and almost every time I wear them, I get a positive compliment :).

This past weekend I celebrated my four year anniversary with Bobby by going on a small getaway. Later this week I will do a post on more details. It was the perfect vacation for us and I really enjoyed being able to relax and get away from my daily routine.

PS: These photos took place in the amazing backyard at my in-laws house. Both of my in-laws enjoy maintaining the backyard as their very own paradise. Right behind the fence is their very own vegetable garden, which is so impressive! Just recently, my Suegro (father-in-law) decided to add a pop of color by painting this corner blue. I love the color and it made as the perfect backdrop for these pictures :).

Nail polish: Zoya – Lola, Lipstick: Em Cosmetics- don’t tell mom

Hey lover! On last Saturday I got to enjoy a lovely mother/daughter date and we went to a new salon to get our manicure & pedicure. My sister is a nail-polish-aholic and told me how her latest obsession is Zoya. I mentioned to my momma how we should both try out Zoya, since we hadn’t ever before. I chose Lola (pictured above) which is a BRIGHT pink with an iridescent finish. I loved it! So far no chipped polish :).

The lipstick pictured is my all time (from all colors and brands) favorite at the moment. It is “don’t tell mom” by Em Cosmetics. I am doing a full review on this brand within the next week or so, stay tuned for that!

Skincare Routine

Hey lover! The following are products that I use on a daily basis to *try* and prevent my skin from blemishes. I tend to have very dry skin and under extreme stress I get the occasional eczema breakout.

Morning:

Every morning I cleanse my face with the Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser. I love that this product foams up, making it super gentle on my sleepy skin. The scent is lovely and does not dry out my skin. Next, I moisturize with the Origins GinZing hydrating cream, which I am a huge fan of! It has a citrus scent and is very light on the skin. If I know that my makeup has no SPF (or I plan to skip on makeup) then I definitely use this Aveeno SPF 50. My favorite part of this sunscreen is the smell because it only has a faint trace of the traditional sunscreen smell. It absorbs quickly and keeps my skin safe. 🙂

In the shower:

I always enjoy washing my face in the shower, however I don’t like to use the same product. Once a week I use the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. This mask smells delicious (thanks to the peppermint) and really leaves my skin feeling clean. Since I have a problem with texture on my skin, where it can get flaky or bumpy, I exfoliate three times a week using this MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. (My boyfriend really likes this one too because he says it feels like natural volcanic ash haha) On any remaining day, I use the Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel. This cleanser does not do anything magical for my skin, so I probably won’t repurchase it.

Night time:

If I have worn makeup all day I use the Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil, along with my Clarisonic Mia 2. When combining both products, I am assured there are no traces of makeup left! To moisturize I switch off between the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light and the Mario Badescu Caviar Night Cream. It really depends on my mood. If I feel like having a light moisturizer, I use the oil which absorbs quickly and really hydrates well. When I feel my skin is drier, I use the Caviar Night Cream, which is heavier and takes longer to be absorbed. I finish off with my Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel, which is light and super hydrating (great for the price).

It’s Electric!

Hey lover! I wore this gorgeous electric blue dress to work yesterday. It is so comfortable and the fact that it has pockets makes it perfect in my eyes! In celebration of Spring, I decided to pair it with fuchsia accessories. My shoes are a purchase from last year when color blocking was a huge trend.

My beautiful mother (Mami) has been working with Avon Products for over 30 years. She is in the managing department and always happens to find me the cutest items from their collections. I love her!!

Spring fashion can be filled with pastels and neutrals or lovely bright hues like this blue. I am a major advocate for bright colors because they instantly wake me up in a great mood! Which colors do you prefer for spring?

Makeup Seminar : Flawless Faces by Angel Merino

Hey lover! This past Saturday, March 15, 2014, I attended my first makeup seminar/class ever!!! Excited was an understatement for how I felt. I didn’t really have any expectations, I simply wanted to learn some new techniques and tricks.

Angel Merino is a professional makeup artist based in California who has been touring the country with his Flawless Faces Makeup Tour. The moment I saw he was stopping in Miami, I knew it was meant to be! Angel (also known as MAC_Daddyy on Instagram) absolutely blew me away! He is extremely talented, HILARIOUS, and the sweetest cutie you can imagine. He had all of us laughing the entire time and really allowed for us to interact and ask absolutely any question.

The class was three hours with a full face makeup demonstration done by Angel. The title “Flawless Face” is truly his signature and the tips he provided were amazing! He even gifted us with a precious goodie bag filled with full size makeup products. I could not be happier with my choice to attend his tour and I wholeheartedly recommend that if you have the opportunity, join him as well!
