Skincare Routine

Hey lover! The following are products that I use on a daily basis to *try* and prevent my skin from blemishes. I tend to have very dry skin and under extreme stress I get the occasional eczema breakout.

Morning:

Every morning I cleanse my face with the Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser. I love that this product foams up, making it super gentle on my sleepy skin. The scent is lovely and does not dry out my skin. Next, I moisturize with the Origins GinZing hydrating cream, which I am a huge fan of! It has a citrus scent and is very light on the skin. If I know that my makeup has no SPF (or I plan to skip on makeup) then I definitely use this Aveeno SPF 50. My favorite part of this sunscreen is the smell because it only has a faint trace of the traditional sunscreen smell. It absorbs quickly and keeps my skin safe. 🙂

In the shower:

I always enjoy washing my face in the shower, however I don’t like to use the same product. Once a week I use the Lush Mask of Magnaminty. This mask smells delicious (thanks to the peppermint) and really leaves my skin feeling clean. Since I have a problem with texture on my skin, where it can get flaky or bumpy, I exfoliate three times a week using this MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator. (My boyfriend really likes this one too because he says it feels like natural volcanic ash haha) On any remaining day, I use the Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel. This cleanser does not do anything magical for my skin, so I probably won’t repurchase it.

Night time:

If I have worn makeup all day I use the Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil, along with my Clarisonic Mia 2. When combining both products, I am assured there are no traces of makeup left! To moisturize I switch off between the Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light and the Mario Badescu Caviar Night Cream. It really depends on my mood. If I feel like having a light moisturizer, I use the oil which absorbs quickly and really hydrates well. When I feel my skin is drier, I use the Caviar Night Cream, which is heavier and takes longer to be absorbed. I finish off with my Mario Badescu Ceramide Eye Gel, which is light and super hydrating (great for the price).
