Hi lover! Today’s post is so special to me. One of the most magical, beautiful and romantic days was the day my best friends, Jose & Kelci said “I Do”. As I prepared for this post, I realized this might be a really long one. Here we go!
Also… most of the pictures are from my iPhone or my friends phones, but there are a few of the professional pictures that were from the wedding photographer.
On Friday {February 3, 2016} we all drove down to Key Largo and had the rehearsal dinner that night. It was laidback and informal so we got to relax and have a great time. There were plenty of drinks and lots of dancing! It was the perfect way to kick off the wedding weekend. By the way, my drink in the glass that says Rehab is for Quitters is a Pina Colada on the rocks. If you’ve never tried one, they are DELICIOUS!
The next morning {February 4, 2016} all the bridesmaids, along with our sweet Kelci, got ready in the bridal suite. We did our hair and got our makeup done while we sipped mimosas and jammed to lots of Beyonce. I couldn’t stop staring at Kelci all day and thinking how absolutely gorgeous she looked. I was also in shock that it was actually her wedding day!!!
The ceremony was right before sunset around 5:30pm and right next to the water. It brought tears to my eyes to hear the readings and the exchange of the vows. The love between Jose & Kelci was tangible. *insert 100 heart emojis*
The cocktail hour and reception followed right after the ceremony. The party was mostly around the deck area, where there was an open bar, DJ, lounge seating and lots of space for dancing.
The dessert table! It was filled with delicious treats and all of the decorations were so beautiful.
The first dance was to a song (I forgot the name, sorry!) by The Grateful Dead. This is Jose & Kelci’s band. Jose played the same song for Kelci when he proposed to her. 🙂 Look at their sweet faces!!!
Kelci dancing with her father was one of the most special moments. John has been ill the last few months but he was able to really enjoy the wedding day and make Kelci’s dream come true. As a best friend, seeing Kelci so happy to be with her dad that day, made me even happier. Please send your prayers and good vibes for her father as he is still sick.
Oh best friend Jose! When I first met Jose I thought he was the cool guy. He had (and still has) a super cool BMW and he was always, always in the mood to go out and party. However that is only the outside shell of a person. As time passed and I got to know the depth of Jose, I realized that I was so lucky to have gained another best friend. I saw him fall in love with Kelci. Seeing that is something so special. I saw him take care of her, make sacrifices for her and even make her dream of having a puppy come true. I saw him find a home within her heart. I got to know Jose’s intellect and we even have our own, hilarious inside jokes! I don’t get to rave much about Jose on my blog (as I do with Kelci lol!) but I’m so happy he walked into Kelci’s life and I know she will be well taken care of and loved for the rest of their lives. 🙂
I wish I could relive their wedding day but instead I’ll cherish the memories of it. I didn’t include every little detail but this post is already so long. Cheers to Jose & Kelci and a lifetime of love, great health and happiness together! I’ll be right by your side every step of the way!
Thanks for stopping by lover!

Nothing makes me happier than seeing my best friend and my husband have such a close relationship! Love you! …and wish we were drinking piña coladas on the rocks right now!
