Hi lover! You guys have probably heard me mention my best friend Kelci a bunch of times before…and you might remember that she got married earlier this year {in February}. Today I want to recap her bachelorette party and bridal shower. First let’s take it back to her bachelorette party, which was in December of last year. It was a group of 6 girls and we packed all our cutest clothes, drinking necessities and snacks and headed to Key West, Florida.
Oh and by the way… my cell phone died on the last day of our trip. That morning my phone was acting up, as it usually did because the phone was old and out of memory. I turned it off and it never turned back on 🙁 which meant all the pictures I took throughout the weekend were gone! So sadly, I only have very few pictures… but the weekend was still amazing.
Day 1 was Friday and we got to our hotel around 4pm for check in. We stayed at the Pegasus which is right off Duval Street, where all the main restaurants, shops and bars are located. We had a spacious room with 3 beds, perfect to fit all 6 of us. As soon as we arrived, we distracted Kelci for a few minutes while we decorated the room. Hillary (Kelci’s older sister) went above & beyond with all the party favors and precious little details. Kelci’s excitement for it was perfection!
That night we went bar hopping, drank plenty of fruity cocktails and danced for hours. It was so fun 🙂
Day 2 we woke up and got ready for brunch. We headed over to our favorite brunch spot: Blue Heaven {they serve an amazing lobster eggs benedict}. After brunch and mimosas, we took a scenic walk to the Southernmost Point. The rest of the afternoon we lounged on the pool deck of our hotel and kept the drinks going. That night we took it easy and went to a delicious dinner and then called it an early night and stayed in.
The next day we stopped at a bakery close by our hotel and got some snacks for our car ride home. Overall it was the funnest girls trip and I’m so happy we got to all party with our sweet Kels!
The bridal shower was in early January and it was SO Kelci. The theme was boho-bridal-chic and Hillary did the most amazing job at capturing Kelci’s dreams and bringing them to life. It was an intimate brunch party with friends and family at Kelci’s parents’ house.
At the shower we played two fun games..For the first one, we each wrote on a notecard a special memory we shared with Kelci. She then read each one out loud and would try to guess who wrote it. It was hilarious to see her figure them out! The second game was “he/she said it first”. It’s a list of about 10 things and you have to guess if the bride or groom did/said it first (ex: said I love you).
This collage was one of my favorite details at the shower. Hillary made it herself and it’s a collage of black & white pictures of Kelci and Jose throughout the years. I absolutely love it and secretly wish I could keep it at my house lol!!
This was my second favorite detail at the shower. Technically Kelci started this “tradition” when Hillary got married about 2 years ago. It is different wine bottles for the married couple to enjoy on special occasions. It includes: Wedding Night, Honeymoon, First Fight, Just Because, First Christmas Eve, First New Years Eve, First Anniversary and First Baby. Each one has a name and poem that matches a theme and its so thought out and cute!!!
I wish I could relive all these days because I know how special they were to Kelci and Jose. I love them and their families so much. Kelci is one of those souls, that I know without a doubt, has been connected to me in past lives. I know our souls will travel any distance or time to meet and it makes me so happy to get to enjoy this life together. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
